Listen
If you please
^ This is what I was listening to... partially while writing this. I think it’s quite yummy and sensual and suave. What do you think?
It rained yesterday; and for the cleansing, we give THANKS. As I was making my way from Jamaica Center / Parsons Ave to the Q110 towards Floral Park, a sweet lady with two red bags, some nice JBL’s over her beanie and yellow and green (?) floral pants complimented me on my mini black and red rolly bag that I was gifted from my first unexpected death doula (!) assignment. Part of the assignment was cleaning, organizing, and clearing out decades worth of a life from a Harlem, New York apartment (10037) ; indigenously known as:

This home belonged to a beloved Pan-African Elder, Artist, Dance Teacher and more. I had not met him while he was living. So how did I end up in his home?
While I was furnishing a Canarsie + Munsee Lenape apartment in what’s now called Bushwick…on the edge of Ridgewood, I was deep in the Buy Nothing portal. I was “called in” by a lady with a Very African name and no profile picture (she’s super dope and had the best headwraps) responding to my ask for Kitchen Supplies and soon thereafter I found mySelf as a part of the 3D death doula team. Mostly women above 40 in my assessment. All dancers. All melanated. I did not expect to tell this story today. But The Bag...red and black… garnered an unexpected compliment from a neighbor going the same way (Q110) which in turn…inspired her to get one like it for herSelf! I hope that whichever {Bag with two wheels} she procures, it helps to lighten her load.
Mind you…when I received this mini black and red rolly bag {that folds up!} gift, it was straight out of the 19…80s? Never been used, soy cute. I would take a picture to show you but my iPhone 13 mini is upstairs…charging. Back to the muzak…
